Fastpong and Hanyang University Sign Education and Research MOU

Fastpong announced a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hanyang University in South Korea, establishing a collaboration with its Department of Sport Science on table tennis education and research.
A central aim of the agreement was to develop a university table tennis curriculum incorporating training technology and digital tools. By tracking student progress and exploring new approaches to teaching and assessment, the collaboration sought to give instructors more useful information and students clearer feedback on their development.
The research ambitions extended beyond university classes. Fastpong and Hanyang planned to investigate how digitally supported table tennis could benefit older adults, people with Parkinson’s disease and people with intellectual disabilities. These were areas for research, with the aim of better understanding how the technology could support different participants.
We would like to thank Professor Seongno Lee and Professor Siddhartha Bikram Pande for their support in establishing the collaboration. Professor Pande’s work in organising the agreement and bringing together researchers from different universities helped lay the foundations for further joint research.
For Fastpong, the agreement marked an important step in connecting product development with university teaching and sports science.
