Brazil’s CBTM Chooses Fastpong for Training and Research

The Brazilian Table Tennis Confederation (CBTM) announced its acquisition of Fastpong in March 2024, bringing our South Korean training technology into its plans for athlete development and scientific research.

The announcement followed a visit to Pukyong National University during the World Team Table Tennis Championships in Busan. Among the visitors was Taísa Belli, founder of Universidade do Tênis de Mesa (UniTM), who highlighted Fastpong’s potential to help players develop accuracy, reaction time and ball speed.

Controlled through a mobile app, Fastpong’s illuminated targets challenge players to direct their returns to specific areas of the table. Performance data helps coaches identify strengths and areas for improvement, while also providing measurements for researchers.

CBTM said the equipment would be installed at the Brazilian Paralympic Training Centre in São Paulo for use by athletes affiliated with the confederation and UniTM researchers.
